Barber & Beauty, located at 610 Peppers Ferry Rd Suite G in Christiansburg, VA, has been faithfully serving clients for 11 years. We currently have 5 stylists in-house with multiple talents designed to meet your needs.
Relax in our laid-back and comfortable atmosphere while receiving excellent customer service. Your salon experience is of the utmost importance. Allow us to help you relax while you receive the pampering and attention you deserve.
We service clients of all ages and provide services ranging from basic cuts to beautiful Balayage. Each of our stylists offers a variety of services to meet each client's needs. Some are excellent at children’s haircuts while others thrive with men’s haircuts and blonding services.
The newest experience we have added is a boutique for our clients. Our clients love being able to shop for themselves and family.
KAYLA WALTON, STYLIST AND OWNER
Kayla Walton is the owner of Barber & Beauty. She has been in the salon industry for 21 years and has been the owner of Barber & Beauty since 2011. Kayla has obtained several educational hours over the years. The 2013 Paul Mitchell Gathering in Las Vegas was her favorite event to attend.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 children, husband, and 3 dogs. Kayla enjoys performing many different beauty services in the salon. She enjoys the variety that it brings to her day. Kayla loves making her clients feel their best and confident in their own skin!
JESSICA PORTERFIELD, STYLIST
Jessica Porterfield has been in the salon industry for 15 years in the New River Valley area. She has been with Barber & Beauty for 11 years.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys the outdoors and traveling with her family. Jessica is a mother to 4 beautiful children. While in the salon, Jessica performs many men's haircuts and color services. Jessica’s go-to product is Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny Serum. Her favorite part of being a stylist is building relationships with her clients.
SHARON MCCOY, STYLIST
Sharon McCoy has been in the salon industry in the New River Valley for 40 years! Sharon is a former owner of two different hair salons and now works part-time as a stylist at Barber & Beauty while she is semi-retired.
Sharon enjoys the relationships she has built with her clients over many years. She adds a creative style to the salon. When Sharon isn’t in the salon, she enjoys doing home improvement projects and spending time with her 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
SARAH FURROW, STYLIST
Sarah Furrow has been a stylist for 6 years. She is from the New River Valley and loves her hometown of Christiansburg, Virginia. She specializes in blonding services such as Balayage and highlights and is also certified in Brazilian Blowouts.
Sarah enjoys performing formal updos and makeup for weddings, dances, and special events. Her favorite part of being a hairstylist is seeing the confidence she gives to women when she makes them look and feel their best. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
JOLIE OJEDA, STYLIST
Jolie Ojeda has worked in the salon industry for 25 years. She has years of training and education and is always excited to learn more. Originally from California, Jolie moved to the New River Valley during the pandemic and joined Barber & Beauty in 2021 where she fits in perfectly.
Serving others brings Jolie joy. She is honored to now be serving the community of the NRV. Outside the salon, Jolie loves spending time with her family and many pets.
